Women in Business NI

Women in Business is Northern Ireland’s largest and fastest growing business support network for women. Women in Business hosted their first ever virtual leadership conference in November at the MAC, proudly sponsored by Intertrade Ireland.

Their conference focused on the effectiveness of female leaders in handling the COVID-19 crisis which has received a lot of media attention with evidence showing that outcomes are systematically better in countries led by women. Some say that this success is based on honest open communication with their countries, and for clearly showing their people that they care. Are these the characteristics of a true leader? Are we now prepared to acknowledge that Compassion is strength, Kindness is strength, Empathy is strength.

They had an amazing line up of speakers such as Sharon Thorne, Global board chair in Deloitte, Alyse Nelson, President and CEO of Vital voices global partnership and many more influential women.

With over 800 delegates tuned in online for the free conference live from tour beautiful Luminaire Club in our Downstairs theatre at the MAC.
