We used the MAC for our IT Awards in 2019 for the first time and it went so well that it was our first choice in 2022 as soon as we could host live events again. We wanted the IT Awards to be more relaxed, rather than a formal sit-down awards ceremony, so the MAC was the perfect venue for this style of event. All of our sponsors and nominees were very pleased with the format of the IT Awards. The Events Team at the MAC did a great job, from the drinks reception to directing clients to their seats, and the delicious food served on the night.
Belfast Telegraph hosted their first-ever IT Awards ceremony at the MAC this November, proudly supported by law firm Carson McDowell.
The awards were the first of their kind for Belfast and were designed to recognise the crème de la crème in the IT sector when it comes to people, products and companies with over 15 award categories.
Over 340 guests from Northern Ireland’s thriving IT sector were welcomed to the MAC for the awards which included a takeover of the MAC foyer and the main ceremony taking place in our Downstairs Theatre.
All catering for the event was delivered in-house by the MAC’s on-site catering team. On arrival, guests enjoyed a pre-ceremony canapé and drinks reception in our foyer. Post-ceremony, guests were served a selection of bowl food and canapé desserts accompanied by live music.
